I was really excited about this carrier, but it was uncomfortable for me and for my son. The shoulder straps were too bulky. It’s not something you can quickly place on- so many straps and such. And my son (who is very squirmy) always seemed on the verge of flipping himself over.

I am underwhelmed by this carrier. I own wraps, slings, MTs and two other SSCs. Its simplest to compare apples to apples so I will try and keep the comparisons to my Angelpack and Beco.

We can start with the only plus this carrier has over the Angelpack and Beco. Its lightweight. Being its so lightweight it also feels less substantial. It also has a forward facing front carry that my other two SSCs did not have. But since I did not find this carry comfortable for me I don’t find it to be a plus. Then there is the whole issue about whether its even safe for babies hips and spine and whatever it is “they” say.

I tried all the different carries; forward facing front carry, traditional front carry, back carry, and hip carry (w/ sling converter).

Forward facing front carry. This just didn’t feel right to me, the weight distribution just felt off. I also felt like it just looked weird to have my baby legs dangling like that. I only used this hold for a few minutes but I would say it didn’t feel like it would take too long for my back to start hurting.

Traditional front carry. With the carrier being so lightweight I was worried the hold would feel flimsy or uncomfortable but it felt pretty darn excellent. I was able to tighten it up and carry her high and tight which is the most comfortable way to carry a baby. The shoulder pads are not as padded as the angelpack or beco but I felt like the padding was enough to keep from the straps from digging in and becoming uncomfortable.

Back carry. With my 20 lbs baby this is the most comfortable hold. I was able to get a pretty tight hold and the straps did not dig in under my arms.

Hip carry with sling converter. The sling converter was not as comfortable as I was hoping. It did spread the weight nicely but I felt like the edges of the sling fabric were cutting into my arm. I could loosen it up and it felt better but then the baby was not as tight which would be a problem if you wanted to use the carry longterm.

customer service was fantastic. I ordered 2 carriers and both arrived busted in different ways. I emailed customer service and had the solutions mailed out and on my doorstep within a week.

I like my Beco. I am not feeling the same like for this carrier but it has potential to grow on me in these upcoming summer months. This carrier does fit me better then my Angelpack did which I felt was more suitable for a more petite figure. The Angelpack but is much cuter IMHO. Finally the instructions included with this carrier are dreadful, so you will be figuring out how to use it all on your own.

I got this carrier instead of Babybjorn, which became very uncomfortable for a larger baby. At first I was very pleased. I like the fact that it has many different positions. My baby likes being face forward as he can then see what is going on. I also like the sleeping hood. My son does not like the stroller and walking with this carrier is fantastic. It protects him from the sun and supports the head when he falls asleep. It is certainly much more ergonomic and comfortable than my sling or babybjorn. But it started to fall apart after a month of use. I have to stitch it together now. My 7 mo son is about 19 lb and 29 inches. So it should be fine, but the fabric breaks apart. I am saddened by this, as otherwise I like this carrier very much.

I usually use ring slings and Moby wraps (all fantastic), but wanted something for my husband and something sturdier than the slings. This has everything. Breath ability, the baby can face forward, comfortable, secure. It is really fantastic. Someone mentioned that the baby nearly fell through and it is perilous, I have really no thought how that could happen unless they didn’t secure any of the straps. It is NOT an issue. The instructions are a small hard, but once you get what they mean, it is a cinch. Also, you do not need the infant insert unless you want to do a cradle hold. An infant can face towards you without the need for the expensive insert. I learned this the hard way and had to send it back.

Fantastic for hot climates and very comfortable for the wearer and baby

I’m a bit obsessed with baby carriers. I’ve tried so many of them – Bjorn, Bjorn Air, Hot slings, Maya Wrap, Ergo, Ergo Sport, Catbird Pikkolo, Cybex 2.go. So I can say I’ve had a lot of experience. I really loved our Bjorn, but as the summer heat came around and baby started to weigh alot more it just wasn’t comfortable anymore. I tried out a lot of carriers until I got this one. My baby likes the front facing out position and I had a hard time finding anything that was comfortable for that. The Pikkolo felt like she was just facing the ground and pulling on my back. The Cybex was nice and is very well made, but it seems to hurt my hips. Plus it had a lot of fabric once you go to the full motion option. So that was hot.

This carrier though was just awesome. Its really soft and comfortable. We took a long walk on the beach and my back felt fantastic. The breathable fabric was so fantastic. It kept both of us cool. Its my favorite carrier now.

It does have a bit of a learning curve figuring out how to use it because it has so many carrying options. If you’ve used a baby carrier before, you’ll probably catch on really quick as at least one of the positions will be familiar. If this is your first carrier, you might need to practice a few times. But once you have it down, its simple. I found the back strap (the one that goes a across your shoulder blades) to be simpler to secure than the Ergo. I found the padding in the shoulders to be very comfortable and I liked that I could go it around to where it fit me best. The pocket is very roomy and fit a tube of sunblock, my phone and keys.

Certainly a fantastic find. We like it.

I would highly recommend this for the summer or if you live in a hot climate like us (Florida). The mesh is fantastic!

I have a Baby Bjorn and I wanted something that’s more light weight. I have heard excellent things about the Ergo carrier, but it doesn’t allow the baby to face out. So when I saw the Lille Baby carrier, especially the light weight sports model, I chose to give it a try. There are few steps involved in putting it on, but not too terrible. But, after carrying my 7 month ancient facing out for only 5 minutes in it, my back started to hurt a lot. I had my husband try it too, same thing. Comparing to my Baby Bjorn, the Lille Baby seems much harder on the back. It could just be the sports model, but I chose not to try the original and just stick with my Bjorn.

Wonderful design, absolutely no stress on my back!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We’ve had this carrier for about 4 months now and I use it very frequently. My son is on the heavy side (23 lbs) and I can wear this for hours with no pull in my shoulders and no stress on my back. His weight sits on my hips so it’s really simple to wear. It took a small practice to get in and out of on my own, but now it’s a breeze. I also like that the waist belt is adjustable so I can make adjustments as necessary. The only con I can reckon of is the buckle that snaps across the back is slightly uncomfortable after extended use, but this may be my own issue. Overall, I have had a Baby Bjorn, Ergo, Hotsling, and Balboa Baby Carrier and this one is the best! The brown color also hides drool or stains from food (my son likes to snack as we walk :) . The zipper pouch is fantastic, though I can only get my iPhone in there. I am certainly keeping it for all future children and would gift it to any new mom!

  8. M.Y. says:

    Too Flimsy
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I really really wanted to like this carrier. But alas, after using it for the last 6 months, I have grown to despise it for several reasons:

    -It hurts my back

-The straps are hard to adjust and need to be readjusted frequently since they slip out of place

-The straps also dig into my skin and get bunched up

-The waist belt doesn’t seem secure – I often have distress clicking it in and then the strap loosens during wearing

-The infant cradle is useless and the directions on how to install it are ridiculously complicated. These certainly need a rewrite.

-Overall the carrier just feels flimsy and is uncomfortable to wear. It does not seem well made.

There are some positives. My baby likes it because she can face out which is why I have continued using this thing for so long. And it is easily packed into a diaper bag b/c it is not as structured as other carriers. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t recommend this. I also use an ergo which is much more comfortable with the only negative being that the baby can’t face out. And I use the didymos wrap as well. I’m going to try the piccolo carrier for front carry positions since I literally can’t stand the lillebaby any longer.

    Fantastic Carrier

This carrier is fantastic, I like the fact that it offers so many positions. A friend of mine offered to let me borrow her Baby Bjorn, I’m not sure what model of Bjorn it was but it was huge! I lifted it and it felt like it weighed 10 pounds. I wasn’t even interested in borrowing it. It’s hard enough to carry a baby around without all that extra weight! This carrier is so lightweight and fits fantastic. I’ve already had to send mine through the washing machine and it held up perfect. My baby really seems to like it too.

Nice, but the Ergo is better
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I read a lot of reviews while searching for a baby carrier. I chose the Lillebaby because of the excellent reviews I read about it regarding it’s light weight and multiple options for carrying baby. I have now used it at least 10 times and there are pros and cons. The pros are that it is lightweight, has a variety of ways to carry the baby (although we have only used the front carry with baby facing forward or backward#, it has two small pockets on the front for keys, gloves, etc., and it has nice padded straps. The cons are that it is rather hard to adjust the straps and the material is not very thick and strong.

Recently, I bought a used Ergo carrier in order to have a second carrier because my husband and I were tired of having to adjust the straps back and forth between us. If I were to do it all over again, I would buy the Ergo instead of the Lillebaby because the Ergo has the exact same design, but it is made of a thicker, sturdier material. One of the adjustable snaps for the pads on the shoulder straps of the Lillebaby carrier ripped right out of the material when we were trying to adjust the straps for my husband, so while this does not affect the safety of the carrier, it just makes me reckon the whole thing is not very strong. Additionally, the Ergo straps are about twice as wide and have thicker padding which is more comfortable, especially for a larger person. The Ergo is only $5 more than the Lillebaby, so it is well worth it for sturdier construction. And it’s even cheaper if you find a excellent used one to buy! ;)

    Wonderful Baby Carrier-Worth the Price
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Received this product and tried it on immediately. Like how it has the front carrying position, both forward facing and inward facing. Also, like the back carrying option. This has very excellent back support along with excellent shoulder support so the baby’s weight is shifted evenly throughout the body and doesn’t cause neck/shoulder/backaches.

Went for a walk with my 6 montth ancient, 19 lbs/9oz, and I believe she enjoys being in it, as she fell asleep 15 minutes into the walk.

    LIKES:

-I really like the zipper pockets that it comes with along with the hoodie as an option to have to shield the baby’s face from the wind/sun/etc..

-The padded shoulder straps and the back strap that goes across to connect the shoulder straps so it doesn’t slip.

    -Comfort level with baby in

    -Multi-positions

-Portable/Simple to fold up and pack

    -Like the look/feel/color

I don’t have any dislikes to comment as of yet.

    Absolutely Like It

My wife and I like this carrier. We haven’t used any other structured carriers, only a Moby and a Katan(also fantastic), so I can’t say if it’s better than an ergo or anything.

The Lillebaby is very simple to use with a small practice. Our daughter likes being carried in it. Depending on the situation we sometimes carry her facing forward, sometimes facing inward. She seems to like both ways. It does take a few seconds to convert from one way to the other because you have to pull the waist belt out of two loop on bottom of the carrier to narrow the seat for forward facing, but it’s not hard, and it really only takes a few seconds.

When adjusted properly, the weight is mostly on your hips as it should be, not on your shoulders. The material is nice and end seems like quality. We’ve carried our girl around the house, shopping, through airports, etc, and it’s been fantastic.

As far as the review about their child falling out the bottom, I don’t reckon they read the instructions or something. I don’t believe that is even possible if worn properly. The waist belt is similar to a camping backpacks waist belt. If it is buckled securely around your waist, there is no opening in the bottom. The elastic that the reviewer referred to is simply a safety. The belt buckle passes through an elastic band and then clicks into the opposite buckle so no force should be the elastic when buckled.

Anyways, we like it, it works well for us and does what it says it supposed to do.

    I received this carrier today..

Immediately i tried it on with my 4months ancient who have excellent head and neck control and he already roll over at 3 months! so I reckon I can do without the infant insert.

We struggle at first and i guess i need more practise to place him on.. after he is in, he seem comfortable and is all smiling!!

It is very very lightweight and seem durable. Doesnt look cheaply made and I like the material, very comfortable!! the only complain is that the baby’s leg are spread wide open looks painful and i worried that he may injured or tear his ligment!! But, my baby did not weep or make any fuss.. like i say, he is all simling!!

Yes, I would recommend to anyone..

    Updates on 12th April 2010

After used for months and my baby is 9 months and weigh 17lbs, i cannot carry him using the front facing position for long because he is simply too heavy to br front facing! I tried back carry him and he doesnt like it as my back blok his view – yet to try out the hip position – i wonder how well it will work for me – but i am still like this carrier and it works for my hubby.

    Like the Ergo but BETTER!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I LIKE THIS CARRIER! Before I bought the EveryWear, I was using an Eddie Bauer sling and a Snugli but all the weight was on one shoulder and my 12 lb. baby was getting too heavy to carry for long periods of time. I tried a Bjorn and liked it, but knew that it would only be a matter or time before my daughter would get too heavy for that, too.

I was recommended the Ergo and the Beco since they can be used on the front or back and is supposed to be better for baby, too. My daughter has been so used to riding facing outward that I wasn’t sure how she would like facing me. Along came the Lillebaby EveryWear! Not only does it have the ergonomic hip support, but it also has the option for the baby to face outward (an option that the Ergo/Beco doesn’t have). And although this shouldn’t matter, in my opinion, it’s also a more attractive looking carrier than the Ergo.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how to wear the baby in front of you, but it is more hard in the backpack position. I would recommend practicing with someone behind you to offer support. I haven’t tried the hip position yet but I like that it’s an option. I also like the detachable sleephood which is also nice to shade the baby from sunlight. When I go for a small walk, the front pocket holds my essentials: cell phone & keys. It’s also folds easily and isn’t too bulky for when I need to slip it under my stroller for those just-in-case moments when my daughter would rather ride on me than in her wheels.

She falls asleep very easily in the Everywear, especially when facing me. I don’t have her facing outward as much as I thought I would since she seems more comfortable in the seat when she faces me. In fact, my babygirl likes the Lillebaby so much that she smiles when she sees me putting it on… and on a few occasions, she has cried when I remove her from it!

This carrier might not have as many fans as the Ergo, but it hasn’t been around as long. I reckon Lillebaby took what everyone likes about the Ergo, and improved upon its complaints. If you get this carrier, you’ll want to take it EVERYWEAR!

Confortable and versitile carrier, highly recommended!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This carrier is chiropractic recommended. It spreads the weight evenly over your body and concentrated the weight on your hips so is it really comfy and you hardly even feel the weight of your child, even a heavy one like my bruiser!

It is really well made and super cofrotable and has lots of padding. It really has a excellent size pocket for storing things too! I like the way it looks too, it is really sleek. I really like the weather hood too.

I tried over 8 different slings and carriers and this is by far the best one, all the others felt heavy, I feel so light and nimble in this one! And my baby likes it, he always sleeps in it!

It is also rcommended for baby because it supports his hips instead of concentrating his weight on his spine for porpper growth and development. The bjorn and infantino carriers are not excellent for a baby for long wear or to be used often. If you use it as hip, inward and back carrier in the wide seat setting this is thought for your baby’s spine.

This is by far the best carrier on the markey and I highly recommend it!

Awesome carrier- lightweight, packable and versatile

Just got my carrier and so far both baby and I like it! I have tried the Bjorn, the Ergo and the Peanut Shell (the peanut shell is HOPELESS so if you’re considering that, save your money! I can see why it was handed down to me with such enthusiasm now). I like that it converts to 4 positions and you can make the seat narrow or wide depending on baby’s size and their position. That’s one thing I don’t like about the Ergo. Sometimes the baby’s legs are spread so wide it looks painful to me. It’s superlight, not the rough bulky canvas that the Ergo is made out of. My 5 month ancient fits perfectly in it (16.5 lbs and 26″ long). We tested it out as we ran back and forth working around the house and my back wasn’t killing me like it did with the Baby Bjorn. I’m petite (5’4″) and the Bjorn would never sit correctly on my body or hips. It would always ride up and I finished up carrying all the weight in my back. OUCH! Not so with this carrier. I can fit is snugly onto my hips and the weight really stays there. It has handy pockets which are perfect for keys, cell phone and wallet. The only thing I would like is a drool wrap thingy on the strap…but I’m sure I can buy one or do with a makeshift one. I also noticed that there were loose strings from the seams, one in particular was slightly coming undone, but I can easily reinforce with a few stitches. Oh and the chest/back strap is a bit tough to clip on, but with some practice I’m sure it’ll be fine. I am now much less stressed about my upcoming flight. I feel much better knowing that baby will be safe and secure in this carrier!

    Fantastic light weight carrier

As a first time mother and a compulsive experimenter of all “cool” and functional baby products, I have to admit that I am now on my forth infant/ toddler carrier.

I have been using the Lille baby carrier for a couple of months now and I have to admit that I like it. It has united the components that I liked from the other carriers and even added some upgrades.

Some features that work best for me are:

    - The shoulder straps are narrow, allowing me place on a jacket over the carrier without the bulk. As a petit woman (5’3), the shoulder straps sit on my body, rather than slipping to the side. Once this carrier is on, it feels comfortable and never moves out of place.

    - Her weight sits my hips, allowing me to take hour + long hikes with a 24 lb baby with ease. I have hiked with her on the front (front and back facing) and on my back. The different positions have been fantastic for when my daughter gets fussy. As soon as we change up the position she relaxes. I have even had her on my side, allowing me to “carry” her without the weight on my arms.

    - Lightweight but very durable. This is an simple carrier to use in the hot weather, and it is less bulky for packing. It fits under the stroller, in the diaper bag and even in a purse.

Overall, I am very satisfied and know that with the next child, I can stick with one carrier.

Disclaimer: As a professional baby planner, I received this carrier without being charged. My opinions are honest and right to my experience. I have already made recommendations for this carrier to friends.

After my son grew out of the baby bjorn we looked into the ergo baby. The ergo baby was very comfortable but we found it to be too bulky which is why we bought the lille baby. This carrier is very light, simple to use and not as bulky so you can toss it into your diaper bag.

This company also has fantastic customer service. One of the buckles on the strap broke so I wrote to the company to see if I could get the buckle replaced. They responded to my email within 2 days and a week later I had a whole new set of replacement buckles (shoulder, waist and back)!

I like this carrier! (My stroller is dusty because of it!)
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Humm, I haven’t had any of the problems the other reviewer had. It’s right if you don’t really clip the belt on, then it won’t stay around your waist (duh). Maybe in a future model they can use a different type of fastener; but, I personally have no issues with it.

In fact, I use this carrier all the time. It’s really made my strollers get way LESS use–most of the time I take my now-six-month-ancient on walks, I just throw on the EveryWear because it’s simpler than using the stroller and I honestly reckon he likes seeing the world from a higher point of view than the stroller. (Plus it gives Mom a better workout too!)

We traveled all around the country and to Europe using this carrier. I like that you can varry the carrying positions and also like the fact that it has built in pockets for a diaper and travel wipes (and I can tuckin my wallet and cell phone and I’m excellent to go). It’s also very compact when I want to pack it away… I looked into the Ergo first but I didn’t really like the canvas fabrics they used (and you can’t get the forward facing option either). Definately pleased with the buy!

My baby fell out from the bottom…
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
My husband and I always wonder why baby products seem to have long and complex instructions. When you’re a first time parent and getting 4 hrs of interrupted sleep a night the last thing you have the brains to do is to figure out how to place together something complicated while your baby is crying his eyes out.

That’s why I was attracted to this carrier. It seemed simple and had very simple instructions. it also offered multiple positions for the baby including facing the infant out which the Ergo baby does not allow. We also kept reading about how the Bjorn is terrible for the baby’s spine so this product seemed perfect. It was too excellent to be right!

I place the baby in the carrier and fastened the waist belt which is a standard female to male clip The kind on a back pack. The belt is adjustable but is only secured by a flimsy elastic band. i carefully followed the instructions but no matter what the “secure” band wouldn’t keep the belt in place and eventually slip loose and the baby would slip out from the bottom.

This is not a excellent product and if you value your baby’s life I would never buy this product.
