Not very comfortable
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I was so excited to have a carrier for my 1st child. I had heard such wonderful things about the baby bjorn carriers. I received this one as a gift. I followed the directions to a T and was off and running. My infant was 8 lbs. I managed to wear it for about 30 min the first time and had to take him out. My back was really hurting. I waited a few weeks and tried it again... still got a sore back. I went back to the directions, I re-adjusted the straps and needed tylenol that night. Maybe this just wasn't the right carrier for me. $90 down the drain.....

Something we can't live without!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My son was born 9 lbs 4 oz and we have been using this item since the very begining. We love it. Unlike other slings and carriers, this one can be worn by both me and my 6ft 4in husband with little adjustments. Babies love to be close to you and on your chest, the rocking movement as you walk puts them right to sleep when they are young and later they get to learn and enjoy the world at the same eye level as you, which I found my son gets less frustrated than in the stroller. The carrier is really practical when we shop. We do not have to worry about any stranger coming up and touch the baby and we can go anywhere with our two free hands. I recommend the air carrier more than the other bjorns because it is lighter and has a mesh to circulate some air. One may think that it is not necessary if you live in a cooler climate, but we also found ourselves wearing it in the house while doing some chores.
Although I really like this product and would never leave home without it, there are three caveats. One is that, just like any other carrier; you will strenghten your back no matter what. So while you are carrying and walking the baby around to do everyday things, you will get a work out and loose baby fat, sorry. Second, I found that it works better for an infant/newborn not to put the arms through the openings but to tuck them close to the baby. This way it ensures the sense of security and it will be more enjoyable for the both of you. Third, is that keep massaging those little feet. This will not only enhance the sense of bonding with your newborn but it will keep circulation going in those already hard to get extremities.
